I wouldn't ever let the absence of comments from other people ruin my ownership of anything, let alone a purchase as $$$$$ as a car.

I'm not one to question why someone else buys what they buy, but if your reason for NOT buying a particular vehicle is because you won't receive commentary on it, you might need to do some self-reflection.

I never had the misfortune of owning one, but I did test drive one before buying my LT1 and I walked away from the test drive with your same list of dislikes. On top of that, the dash and interior left a lot to be desired.

Thanks, Fran

I felt exactly the same way about the 1979 Malibu I owned for more than 30 years even when the way I had equipped it didn't meet with complete approval by a number of others.

By the time I've decided to shell out my money on a car, it's not going to matter what anybody else thinks of it. Not even if they hate it so bad that they'd rather take the bus . . .

That is a really pretty Mustang though. I have been on the Mustag forum and they do seem to have more issues than our Camaro's have. Hand built motors seem to be blowing up a lot.

This !!! The 1LE is a much better bargain for sure. I still think it'll out perform the Mach.

I'm with you. This has the base Mustang seats too. A fully loaded Mach with a 10 speed will get very close to 70k. SEVENTY!!!!!

The big change for this car was that they're using the same Tremec out of the GT350 LOL

It’s just a pp2 GT with a diff cooler, better trans, bigger tires and an intake manifold. The last Mach 1 they made came with a completely better engine than what was offered in the GT. This one has the same exact motor as a Gt but with a different manifold which to me isn’t a big difference. If I was in charge of building the new Mach 1 it would have had a 5.2 cross plane block with either ported heads or gt350 heads. That would have made it a badass NA car with a normal cross plane crank.
Agree

$58K msrp and cloth interior (likely over $60k w/ markup)? Yikes. Might as well get a ZL1 at that marked up price - a ZL1 will destroy the Mach 1 in every performance metric and has a fully loaded interior. And IMO the Z will look better while beating up on the Mach 1. I did see a Mach 1 w/ the appearance package this last weekend and it looked pretty cool (just not ZL1 good).
