Like most, I've tinted every car I've owned, but haven't tinted my vert yet over concern of the "tank-like" feeling with the top up. Decreasing the amount of light in the compartment seems counter-intuitive, but I haven't had my vert over a hot summer yet, I would expect it to keep it quite a bit cooler in summer months. Also, I'm California, and driver and passenger window tints are illegal, so there's that (even though I've tinted prox 20 other cars, and only got one fixit ticket from a meter maid)

I tinted mine, 30%. I didn't go darker because of the tint laws here. I don't need to really post a pic, as it looks like the other Fifties already shown.

1) Are you able to tint the rear window?
2) What does the tint look like at the top of the driver / passenger window? Is there a gap of some sort?

Thanks in advance,

Mike
My rear window is tinted the same as the sides. And yes, there's a very small gap on mine, maybe an 1/8 of an inch but not very noticeable at all. I'd think that might depend on the skill of your tint installer. Here's a picture but it's very hard to notice any kind of gap.

I have tinted every single vehicle I've owned. That's probably the first thing done every time!

Window Tint

I checked with a shop in the Raleigh, NC area and they said, and I quote: "With our standard level, the ATC premium dyed film, price is $165. The mid-grade level ATR metallic is $220, and the top tier CTX high performance ceramic is $300."

Hope this helps with the OP. (I'm still thinking about the pro's and con's).

I just did mine. Went 35pct on the side windows and left the back alone.
My tint guy was worried about that peeling up over time with the back window folding into the trunk. Maybe wouldn't happen. But the back window is so small I don't feel the need to tint it anyway. Normal driving for me is too down and windows up.

Anyway looks great this way - I'll try to get a picture up.
