Tint or not to tint?

Hi All,

I am thinking to tint my car. For whatever reason I haven't seen any convertible with tinted windows ...

What's your take on this?

Here's mine with 15%. I'm guessing most convertibles don't do tint because the windows will be down most of the time anyway.

I originally planned to tint mine and realized exactly what Goodheart said. Right now tinting is in a "maybe next season" path.

I've got 35% all around and Air70 on the front windshield. They didn't have Air90. Quite satisfied with having it tinted.

Here you can see how much the Air70 dims the windshield. It blocks most of the UV light.

I guess I would also go with 35%. How much did you pay for getting the job done?

Me too except it seems like the factory tint is darker in my car than any other I have owned before.

I plan on tinting my windows. I'll probably go with 35% all around. I had 20% on my last Camaro. It was pretty dark.

Well, after seeing a few of these verts in here with tinting, I am considering it........ Just 2 quick questions if you don't mind:
1) Are you able to tint the rear window?
2) What does the tint look like at the top of the driver / passenger window? Is there a gap of some sort?

Thanks in advance,

Mike

Here are a couple of pics of mine. It has 35% all the way around with a 20% sun strip on the windshield. and yes they can tint the back window.
It is hard to see in the pics but there is a very small gap at the top. It will also depend on the tint installer as to how much gap there is.

Thanks for the info., and thank-you VERY much for posting close up pics. They did a GREAT job on your tint! MMMmmm.......... I think I may go ahead with this, but will wait a few weeks until after my side skirts are installed....... Gotta kindda "spread the mods out" if you know what I mean.....

No problem. I fully understand having to spread them out.
