Cowl replacement?
so looking at doing the hi-ram. I understand you have to cut the cowl some. Was wondering if that cowl piece is replaceable? looking at this pic it looks like you can just bolt a new one on if needed. anyone able to confirm this?

Unless I am mistaken your pic looks like a V6 part.
The part u are interested in is Plenum Panel - GM (84261404) It’s around $385 plus install from a body shop. You probably could just drill out spot welds and just get someone to weld it in if your not handy with welding. The GM bonding glue for panels would probably work for that part. I installed a high Ram in my 2016 with notching our a piece of the tin. Just take off the plastic cowl first. Anything can almost basically can be restored back to stock with parts. I just added a small brace to support missing tin but probably not needed. I also added a rubber weather strip to hide my cut into cowl and probably isn’t needed if you do a nice cut. Good luck on your project and just take your time and don’t be rushed if your doing most of the work yourself.
