Who said this car isn't practical!

College move out weekend is here. As someone who's had to put his entire life into one car I have to say you can fit a lot more things in here then I think people give it credit for. I mean sure it isn't a truck but it isn't half as bad as people say it is!

The trunk is a decent size, the opening not so much.... My oversized hockey backpack bag fits (although barely) as well as my sticks with the back seat down so I can't really complain. I'll take a pic next time if I remember and add it here.

Sadly this is one the Mustangs advantages over the Camaro, it has a 50% larger trunk. My personal complaint is my golf clubs won't fit unless you remove the driver and put it in the back seat.

But if it works for them it is practical enough.

I couldn't believe that the guy who bought the original tires off my Camaro drove his 16 Camaro and put all 4 in his car.

That is pretty practical!

My wife and I took it on a 2nd honeymoon and cruise for seven days. Fit all of her stuff and all of the souvenirs on the way back. It isn't too bad as long as the object clears the trunk opening.

The trunk size is actually pretty decent. It is the opening that is small.

Yep the trunk size is totally fine in my book, but the opening is just so damn small. Although I used to have a jeep so trunk size...ya lol unless you folded down the seats forget about it. Was used to put windows and a small toolbox in. We just got back from a 2 day trip 800 miles me wife and 2 little kids down to the beach and we didn't have any problems fitting our stuff in there. Now this was only two days if it was for a week or more I don't think it would have worked, but that might mostly be because my wife thinks she needs 3 or 4 different outfits per day and twice as many shoes and purses.

Lmao, this is what I was picturing when the OP said the Camaro was fine for packing his entire life in. Probably just a bunch of clothing and snacks from a dorm room.

Furniture, or even moderately sized boxes (3ft x 3ft) not so much…

If you ever use a trunk on another car, the difference is night and day. I've come appreciate cars that actually have the lip of the trunk go all the way down the bumper. It feels like a pickup truck by comparison.

Is the 6th gen trunk opening smaller than the 5th gen trunk opening, particularly in the length from the bottom of the opening to the top?

While the trunk space itself is more than I anticipated, the opening leaves much to be desired. Although I wouldn't be surprised if my entire car could fit in the trunk of my sons 97 Grand Marquis. Now THAT is a trunk.

It's not practical, but then again that isn't its purpose.

The 2016 Camaro trunk is a whole lot larger than my 1976 Camaro's trunk
