Android auto is awesome !!!!

So i finally got myself a smartphone. My last cell was a pos that pretty much just made calls and took pictures. I installed Android auto on my new phone and realized that my car needed an update for it to work, so today i went to the dealer and they installed the update. Its the coolest thing ever.I push the talk button on the steering wheel and say directions to some place and i get audible directions and map on the mylink screen. I say play ozzy ozborne on spotify and it does! I apologize if this is old news but this is my first car with mylink and now im kicking myself for not upgrading my cell a year ago. Its like i got navigation and my own jukebox for free. Its fricking awesome!!!

I used to have to print out driving directions on mapquest and try to read that shit while driving at night !!! Im so happy right now. The music is just as cool. Im like play guns and roses.Play sabbath play dio play megadeth play disturbed._._ and on and on it plays my favorite tunes. Soooooo awesome.

I'm supposed to be a beta tester for this, the beta testing is due to come out really soon.

Kind of wish Gasbuddy would release a Android Auto version, so I can check prices on the Mylink.

This. BMW refusing to support AA was the final straw in the jump for me. Android Auto is amazing.

Interesting that BMW does not support Android either. When we were looking for a car for my wife we had 4 Bimmers on her list. All were eliminated because none supported Apple Car Play

you can ask it questions too (same as using your phone.. well you ARE using your phone) When I get gas I hit the microphone and say "DIVIDE 343 by 17.54" .... and she says "19.55" -- MPG that is! ( but the DIC says 20.1 but that's another thread!)

Agreed AA is amazing! Even though I'm a huge techie, this car has a lot of features to wrap your head around. AA just opens up a whole new world of an experience.
