14 ss camaro looked way wider than my 10 ss =(

Today I parked my 2010 ss camaro I have the gm gfx and I always thought it looked wide but after parking next to this 14 or 15 ss. My car looked all narrow and the 14-15 ss way wider than my car and we were both on stock rims. Are thry really wider cuz sure it does look wider and really intimidating. Front vs front end

Might have been lowered. It will look wider if it was lowered.

With the change in the front grill on the 14/15s with the smaller opening on top it makes it appear wider as the gap is pushed down. Same from the rear, with the larger lower valence it pushes the sight line down making it appear wider. All optical illusion

The visual changes prompted my purchase. I love this car!

Were you looking at the back? The rectangular tail lights make the 14-15 appear wider.

Posted these in another thread yesterday:

Yea it's definitely the tail lights. Make the 14's and up look wider.

IMO, hell ya the 14/15 looks meaner than 10-13. Especially with it lowered, splitter, cut off or cut out the chevy emblem from the front, and blackout that ugly chrome strip the SS/RS came with! Looks way better... again, IMO!

The rear diffuser is what makes it look fatter to me, and not in a good way.

It does look wider at the bottom... the first pic... it stops at the inside of the tire where on the newer ones, it seems that it stops on the outside of the tire...
