Pontiac engines were the best of them ftw
These gm gen v v8s have more in common with the Pontiac from the 60s than any other engine |

Lol at your blinders, god forbid I say something bad about it I’m well aware you can get used to anything, doesn’t mean the visibility doesn’t suck. I’m happy for you that you got used to having a line of sight that is as high as your shoulders. |

I actually love the narrow windows after owning mine for a few weeks. This will be the last Camaro I buy, In 5-6 years I'll just get a C8.

Don't give them any ideas. The only place GM crapped the bed on the Gen 6 is the way too damned high belt line. It's not going to stop me from buying a 1LE, but damn it's not hard to figure out why so many are turned off by it. You could have had much better sight and more usable trunk as well as better rear seat room. that aside with the mirrors adjusted right, they're really are no blind spots. I've got it figured out. The few days I have time I've been hitting various dealers to get used to it before I buy |

I could care less if you buy a 6gen Camaro or not GuywithL86! I don’t have blinders on either like some people have that have never owned one! Maybe the next Camaro will have the look of the old AMC Pacer for folks like you. I’m done here.

Problem is that it's required to be a minimum height now to meet modern crash ratings. |

I hear you, and the Camaro definitely has poor rear visibility. But what's "critical to the driving experience" is subjective. Some "enthusiasts" prefer the look of the car that brings on the visibility issues, and/or are willing to overlook that negative trait because of all the other great characteristics of the car.

The performance of the bAse SS had me in shock and I’ve driven a lot of high performance cars. I was even shocked by the build quality as mine was beat to hell and it still felt like a slab of granite. It would just be so much better if it had the visibility. It’s like a 10/10 in every category and then a 1/10 in one category. |

Me being a performance guy first, I don't mind the "visibility" issues (or non-issues for me). If you have a higher belt line, then you also have a higher overall height and you get increased Center of Gravity up top (which is NOT what you want)
The issue is image/marketing. You have a car that has the image of a everyday pony car, but the car is really a dedicated sports car now. When people buy a sports cars, do you hear them complaining about visibility and roof lines? I hear of no Lambo or Ferrari guys complaining. Honestly, I could care less what the name of the car is, GM could call it anything they want, as long as it has the performance and value it currently has. Especially in 1LE trims, this car just kills it. Let them kill the Camaro name, as long as they keep the car as is and continue to improve it, let them call it whatever. But this is coming from a performance car guy, not the general public.
