Goodyear F1's wearout at about 7,000 to 8,000 mi.

I own a 2016 Camaro 2SS and the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 ROF tires are practically worn out at only 6,000 mi, with proper pressure maintained.

There is only 5/32 on the fronts, and 4/32 on the rear tires. At this rate they will have to be replaced at about 7,000 mi. Brand new the tire is only 8/32 tread.

I don't spin the tires (there is only 1/32 difference) between front and back treadwear. If I was driving 12,000/year for 3 years now, that 36,000 mi would equate to about 5 sets of tires!

What's going on? What kind of miles are some of you getting on these stock tires?

There aren't many run flat tires available.

The Pirelli P Zero run flat, and the Michelin run flats that are alternatives cost even more than replacing the stock tires with the same.

I just can't believe they're only good for 7,000 or 8,000 mi.

I have almost 14,000 on mine and they are in real good condition, probably another at least 6,000 miles on them. I don't beat on them, no burnouts, but I have fun with the car, always pushing it pretty hard. Not sure why they are only lasting that small amount of mileage for you.

My stock Goodyears lasted 31,000 miles. The rears were down to the limit by then and they were scary in the rain.
I was surprised, based on the wear during the first 10,000 miles I expected they'd only last about 20,000.

Changed them for BFG Comp 2 all seasons.

I'm pretty sure the quality of the roads effects the wear on these tires. They are soft, and roads around me are terrible, I got 9k on nine I believe

I have 14000 on mine and they're at about 7/32 tread remaining but mine aren't 3s. My 1LE wheels just came in the other day so I'll be pulling them off next week and swapping everything out with the Yokohama set I found on Tire Rack. Hope they do better than the F1s!!!

By the way, 2SS wheelset and F1 tires going up on the classifieds next week, haha...

I had mine in for an oil change today and they measured 8/32 @ 14000 miles. Once these wear out I might go to a non runflat but so far they seem fine.

That measurement is kind of suspect, 8/32nds is practically brand new tire tread depth with zero wear for the OEM Goodyears.

Either your roads are supremely maintained, or your car is literally flying, or...? I'd double-check it to be on the safe side.
