The bars are far from my head as long as I wear my harness but honestly the car's alignment and R7 make for a NASTY ride on the street. Yeah maybe cars and coffee but no racing on he street. All under 3500 rpms and shot shifting.

Looks like we have some downforce by looking and the trunk deck lid.
Wing set in the middle position too. |

2 of the 3 studs pass threw deck lid. There is 3 layers of sheet metal. We Cut round tubing and inserted in holes and welded. This basically ties in the 3 layers. Installing plate will only strengthen 3rd inside layer.

My wing did the same thing and dent OEM trunk pretty bad! I reached out to APR and asked why the base plates are so much smaller then for many others including others I have owned. We will see what they say however not holding my breath!
Next on list to remove trunk plastic and fab solid metal brackets that touch inside trunk lid when close or full race car with welded chassis mount and removable rear carbon lid. We shall see and glad I'm not the only one!!! |

Why do you think it wouldn't hold up?

Yeah, the wing dented my trunk and rubbed off some of the paint as well. I also have the APR splitter and we mounted the rods to the black front grill. The extra downforce it created snapped the plastic grill apart where the rods were mounted. It definitely isn't just for looks.
