Great job on the motor, and have an awesome time at Goodwood! I’d love to check it out some day….

Camfab: Thanks - we will see how long the mill survives - the real test!

Goodwood - well worth the overseas travel especially with a UK vacation to sell the spouse!

50+ degrees here today and with no salt...so gave it a bath:

Feels like a bit more snap with the updated program...dyno will tell the tale!

Gents - we'll try to carry the American flag high in the foreign land. Would be a shame not to take advantage of the opportunities!

Wonderful weather allowed near 400-mile road trip...late night, clear autobahn was a treat although no records were attempted. 100 mph average was easy with the 17.5 mpg result...pretty good!

Held 200 (kph) for a good portion - interesting to see the speed needle pegged even if only 124 mph. It did sound good at 5000 rpm/160 mph though! Drained the oil for a quick look see...we'll take a look after it sits for a day or two.

Boost Creep: That is a great suggestion! Admittedly, my current technique is to let the oil sit a bit in the drain pan and then when pouring it in a bottle, eye-ball the particulates on the bottom for any unusually large chunks...Fortunately, so far very little to see/minimal size!

Did a plug change, car wash, vacuum (clean car makes more power!) and dropped by the engine shop that assisted us in this adventure - ABD Racing:

He was genuinely happy we showed him the final product...always wonder how many projects are completed when they reach a 'machine shop' state. I try to pay it forward a bit for the next guy...not many folks will open up their knowledge and behind the desk to show a 15-17 year old how things work - very nice German.

Dyno visit was successful! The stars aligned, dyno was operational (mostly) and the tuner (Mr Ted Jannetty) was online to tweak after each run.

Strapped down and prepped:

We did 6 runs and 4 'flashes' of the ECU...gaining just shy of 50 CHP for a grand total of 700 crank horsepower. Dyno sheet between untuned WOT and yesterday's best run:

Pleased with the output. The dyno was acting up with a cooling fan failure and anomalies appearing in the curves. Ted was confident the engine was not to blame and enough runs were made to ensure a smooth power curve. The torque number is inaccurate due to the spike. I have no idea what 966 NM is anyway...!

I will say on the way home-4th gear it really pulls nicely to the 7000 rpm limiter (150 mph)...

May get an opportunity to visit the Nurburgring tomorrow (opening weekend for the season!).

The correct value without the faux peak looks to be around 910 Nm, which translates to about 670 lb-ft.

Thanks gents - that is a big number!

Great news! Made it to the Nurburgring today - nearly perfect. The 0415 wake up to arrive at 0800 paid off - 40-45 degree temps / 2nd car on track / no moisture!

Admittedly, I'm quite rusty and the chilly temps along with few oil spills from yesterday made it 'super' exciting! Very happy with its performance although still working thru a throttle response issue. Wonderful electronic throttle actuations...

The exhaust note and now supercharger whine feels like you really did something when you step on the 'loud' pedal. The acceleration is something that will take some time to get used to (if ever). The circuit is full of lumps and this car now spins the tires more readily...I'm quite impressed and a bit freaked out! I soaked my sweatshirt even with near max ventilation energized.

I did incur an engine miss on the return to homebase portion, so still trying to figure that out, but doesn't appear to be mechanical.

A simple video...the second half was a bit more exciting as I was becoming a bit more comfortable - 5 laps complete (65 miles):

Really amazing products we have now days - brakes/tires/suspension makes one feel like a real race car driver and still get 19 mpg at 100 mph to and fro! And that exhaust note!

Such a challenging track, I love that laid back passenger seat perspective.

Always a pleasure working with you Tim, thank you for your business.
