Help has any one use auto SS diff in manual SS asp!

Thinks for taking the time to stop by to help. This is my situation i dropped my diff off at a shop to have gears installed. Was told the spider gear was bad and he could put new parts in.. long store short he had my diff for months. So i decide to pick my diff back up and i received a box of parts after waiting 2 months. So now i need a quick fix to move my car. I have a deal on a auto SS diff that i could grab right quick until i find a diff of choice. So my question is can i just get a auto SS diff and installed in my car and would i be hurting the car if i was to do this any help would be gladly appreciate

Gearing will be different. 3.23:1 for auto vs 3:45:1 for manual. Speedometer will be off. I don't know if there is anything else that relies on the actual speed of the vehicle that might throw trouble codes.
