This has been an issue since the 6th gen came out. It'll come back if you shut the car down and wait for a few minutes, but it's annoying. Pretty disappointed that GM/Chevy haven't addressed this yet. The only way to fix this is to install an aftermarket exhaust controller that connects to the fuse box so you circumvent the user interface. I've been using a Forza brand unit personally since it's made a lot better for dealing with engine heat than the Mild to Wild.

I wonder if the TSB mentioned in this thread is for people who have this intermittent problem, or is the TSB only for people who never have the items appear? Hope that didn't sound confusing? Basically, I hate to waste the time having the TSB applied if it isn't going to improve my situation. Thanks!! |

Someone else also suggested using the unlock button a couple times before hitting the key fob remote start to "wake up" the computer so it doesn't lose the menus. I've been able to reproduce both on my car. |

From your experiences, does the problem with the disappearing(and reappearing) menu get worse with time? If I can live with the way it is now, should I try to get it fixed anyway?
My car is no longer on warranty, so I would have to pay for replacing the module. Just wondering if its worth it. |

Since I have the latest pre-refresh infotainment software as of late 2019 and it's the same, I don't think this is worth spending money on. Just my 2 cents'.

Thanks for the tip. I will try this with the remote.
The menu hasn't come back on since driving the car about 5 times. :( But its mostly settings I never went into anyway Nevertheless it would be nice if it worked again. |
