I'm with you on the noise level.. I should of left it a lone running headers, no cats and factory exhaust.. I added the Borla carbon fiber cat back and I run around in ICE mode which is just a shade louder then the oem exhaust and headers. just hard to use the phone now, don't really mind the noise on acceleration just cruising while using the phone. no drone just loud. which is funny because my wife has the same kit, same setup minus the CF tips and 400 hp less and her's isn't loud till you accelerate. probably the difference in zl1 3inch vs 2 3/4, or the power level I suppose.

Yes I know that works for most but, any reputable shop like jannety will preach that the fuel system is the most important part of the build and not the place to skimp. Do it once and leave room to grow.

My advice is how Lingenfelter meant the system to work correctly. Not set in stone but those guys know what there doing.
We all know the OP probably isn't going to stop at just a cam, catback, and CAI, even if he thinks that he will upfront lol! However, if he does, he can add a JMS and be fine on the stock hpfp.

No a cam is the only thing I need in the future ! That's on down the road ! I have a 72 chevelle with twin turbo sitting in the closet, cam, springs, ARP head bolts LS9 head gaskets, etc for my LQ4. Also have a ZX14R with 200 hp ! So I just want the finishing touch on the ZL1 !

If you're staying at stock boost levels, I'd stay with the oem hpfp and go with a 38% cam. If money is no object at all, I suppose the Lingenfelter pump on a 42% cam may allow you to run straight e85, assuming the low side holds up, and I'm pretty sure it would with a jms. However you could save a good bit and still realize 90+% of the benefit on e60 with the stock pump. Mixing is a very minor inconvenience and you will get good enough to hit the e content within 2% or so without having to break out your calculator. The biggest hassle for me is that some pumps won't let you pump 93 and e85 back to back using the same credit card. When that happens, I just grab the pump on the opposite side of the island if it's free, if not I break out another card.
The full Monte Lingenfelter high and low side pumps to feed a cam only ZL1 seems like overkill to me.

The 17 and 18 model years have been experiencing oil pump failures. I am having mine replaced while it's apart with the latest pump revision since ethere are no reported issues for 2019 and 2020s. Be a shame to go through the labor and not do it while there.
