Exhaust leak? Condensation? Help me diagnose, please!

Hi guys, I'm guessing this liquid coming out of the exhaust is just condensation and is no big deal, yeah? Or am I wrong? Other then that, it seems to be leaking a bit out of where the axleback is connected to the factory pipes.. As wellll as from the mini suitcases, there's a hole in those guys but it leaks a bit from there.. And also from the tail pipes. The liquid is normal I'm assuming? I tightened the heck out of the bolts and it's still dripping but not as much... Thoughts? This forum teaches me a LOT and I like to come here for advice, thank you very much.

Normal. I get condensation drips from the stock exhaust all the time. I see no reason that changing out to an aftermarket exhaust would make the condensation go away. My garage floor is permanently stained from it.

Normal condensation. No need for concern. The holes in the mufflers are there to drain condensation that forms as a result of hot exhaust gases cooling. If you still have cat converters these produce condensation as well.

Very true! You definitely need new tires on the 1LE!

this is a concern (moisture only) if you pull the fuse on your stock npp. it has a tendency to build up moisture in the muffler unless you swap it back to touring mode from time to time to "blow it out"

as others have said, tis normal, no need to worry.

Dude. The little holes in the mufflers are there specifically to allow draining of the condensation.

What do you think happens when gasoline, which is a hydrocarbon, is burned? The oxygen that your engine takes in combines with the carbon in gasoline to form CO2 and CO, and with the hydrogen in the gasoline to form...you guessed it...good old H2O...AKA water. Some of that condenses in the exhaust system and then drips on the ground.

lol ok.

It seemed a bit excessive and was leaking a bit from where the axleback connected, that was my main concern

I wonder why none of the aftermarket exhaust systems have a low point drain hole? The aftermarket axle back systems are high quality stainless steel (304), but the piping it's being clamped to appears to be a lesser grade stainless (409).

LOL. If you lived in a colder climate, those condensation puddles would be about 12" in diameter. Better on the ground that pooling in your mufflers!

I'll add that you should also have your installer adjust the clamps so the bolts are not hanging below the piping, where it could snag something.
