Faith Restored

Experienced an oil pump failure on my ‘17 ZL1 at 14K miles. Awesome local dealer overlooked mods and replaced the pump under warranty.

On the suggestion of my service advisor I opened a case with Chevy Customer Care on the premise that there maybe hidden mechanical damage due to the failure.

Received a letter from Chevy Customer Care that they’ve extended my engine warranty by one year and 17k miles due to the oil pump failure.

FAITH RESTORED!

Car is going back to stock until the full warranty has expired. Four years and 30K more miles of track days under warranty in a car that’s WAY faster than me!

Glad to see a good experience--hoping I don't have to deal with this but also hoping if I do my dealer is like yours.

Sounds like a damn good dealership that is willing to work with their customers, not against.

Glad to hear you ended up getting it all resolved OP. Do you know the production date of your vehicle?

What's the name of the dealer if I may ask? Huntsville is not far from me just in case I need them one day!

Correct, but the way I'm reading it is they're giving him 6 (+1 year) total years at 77k miles powertrain.
