Thanks

What would be my expected WHP gain by simply upgrading the SC to the whipple 2300? Is there even a benefit of doing this upgrade if I'm tuned on 91 octane?
Magnuson Makes the blower they are talking about. A larger blower can spin slower making the same boost. producing less heat along with larger bricks for cooling. I have a whipple and making the same hp I was with a ported blower and meth. No more methanol

Gotcha, thank you...

ben debating on whether it would be worth it to upgrade the blower to a Whipple of Magnuson ... I don't want to run E85 or add meth, so looking for maximum results while still being able to use our crappy 91 octane in California

I haven't had time to work on it since last weekend. I'll be back at it this afternoon. Unfortunately, I only have 2 or 3 hours a week to work on it.

I'm curious as to what fuel pressure is going to look like? Running a bigger blower is going to require more fuel in itself, then adding flex fuel to the mix is going to put even more of a strain on the stock fuel system.

What are the 2300s able to make with a NW103 and pure 93 octane before pressure starts dropping and the car starts running lean?

Shouldn’t change a lot at the same boost levels. It should run cooler AITs so it shouldn’t pull timing.

The good news/bad news for me is that I live at over 7000 ft altitude. This means that in reality, even with the 2300, my actual horsepower will be way under what you'd see at sea level. Here -20% (or more) loss in power is normal.

The 2300 with the provided 80mm pulley will put my boost near stock levels. If my fuel is ok, I have a 70mm pulley that I can install in the future.

Spare time is hard to come by for sure. Lol. I just sold my ported stock unit and doing 2300 also. Watching yours come together gets me motivated to wrench on mine.

Going from the 80 to 70 should be about 3 to 4 lbs of boost. Every 5mm of pulley change is generally 1.5 to 2 psi more boost.

I think that I read that the 70mm pulley is good for 16ish psi which would give me 13ish at my altitude.

I have a question. On my 2300, there is what looks like an IAT sensor screwed into the passenger side runner on the front. There is no reference to it in the instructions. I assume that I just ignore it?

You won’t use it. I pulled mine and plugged it.
