The 760 hp won't stand long and the ZL1 will soon have the 755 hp and more torque. The ZL1 now has more torque.

Not bad, right around the 750HP that I guessed but I'm not surprised they went the extra little bit to eek out the ZR1 as well. I will expect the 0-60 & 1/4 mile times to be right between the A10 ZL1 & A8 ZR1. As for track times.... even with their "track package" I don't expect it to beat the ZL1 1LE but it could be close!!! Interested to see how much it weighs too...

I like all cars and thank God not into brand loyalty. I think Ford is really on to something here imho. the 3rd gen coyote has been nothing short of amazing and has alot of potential to handle heavy up with fi and minimal bottom end work. with that said and this new gt5 they have definitely placed the bar high for GM. Where they might have issues again imho is adm (and lack of manual). I'm dying to see what a tune, headers, E85, ice tank and a pulley will do???? I also wonder how long before we see gt5 blower swapped coyoes (if it would even work). Good times ahead.

Then they can keep it. Not paying 1 cent over MSRP.

The big question now is weight. If it weighs over 4000lbs, its going to need the extra HP.

The cars going to weight 3900+ lbs and I’m guessing it’ll run 10.90s. If they sold it for 75k I’d buy one. Most likely it’ll be 85k (for the base) and 20k mark up.

It's definitely the golden age of performance automobiles. I could have never dreamed of cars like we have today when I was a kid. That being said, it's easy to want to jump to the next greatest thing, which as car buyers know, is often a very costly proposition.
I'm immensely satisfied with my 2018 A-10, which I paid for in cash, with full PPF, BMR suspension, etc. My car is staying put. |

Let's see if they can get this car to hold down some traction...the last GT500 with 662 HP couldn't even get out of the 4.0's 0-60 times. I still expecting the current ZL1 to be the overall better performance car.

GT350R vs. ZL1 (M6) Head to Head was pretty close, what the 350R lacked in HP (125hp deficit) it made up for with weight and MOST importantly tires, it was on R-Comps while the ZL1 was on the 220TW SC3s. Now for the ZL1 1LE vs. GT500 "track pack": If/WHEN we see this comparison it will almost certainly be with the A10 instead of M6 so the DCT will be less of an advantage for the stang. Yes it will have the HP advantage over the Z but it will not have the GRIP advantage like the previous scenario, I would say that goes in favor of the Z this time, because despite popular belief I can say will 100% confidence that the SC3R is a better tire than the Cup2 and there's more of it 305/325 vs 305/315! And we all know the Alpha chassis is better than the stang chassis, the big question is weight, if it's as chunky as some people are thinking that 100HP won't be that much of an advantage as we think... So I think in a GT500 vs ZL1 1LE A10 it will be VERY CLOSE! Could come down to the track, say Road America>GT500, Laguna Seca>ZLE, you get my point.
