Hey, can any current 2ss hot wheels owner's help me out? I'm looking at getting a new hot wheels 2ss camaro, and there is only one anywhere near me, it's about 80 miles away. I love it, but I have a question about the hood and trunk stripes based on what I saw when I went to look at it. . Can you take a close up picture of your hood stripes at the Top of the hood near the edge closest to the windshield and post it here. The one I looked at the stripes do not go all the way to the edge of the hood, near the windshield, they stop about 1/8 or 1/4 inch before the Top of the hood. It seems to me like they should go all the way to the edge and wrap under the hood, like the do in the front near the front bumper. It does tge same on rear trunk area, the stripe stops before the top of the trunk abot 1/8 or 1/4 inch before where it meets the rear window and leaves the same gap. Neither look right to me, i would think they should go all the way to the edge. I talked to dealer and he said the hoid was striped at factory and the did the trunk and decklid stipes per tge instructions geven to them by dealer. So if you can show me yours close up both hood and trunk in those above mentioned areas i will know if the one i saw is correct. I've tried to google close up overhead shots of hood and trunk but no luck finding one that shows those 2 areas. Thanks for your help.

I will check it out and post it ASAP. We have 2 of them, one 2LT RS and one 2SS. They should be the same. Be careful about the rear deck stripes. They did a crappy job on my 2SS around the spoiler. Their lifting coming around the spoiler. GM should not let the dealers install anything IMO. Some of my wife's dealer installed parts are coming off also. Leave it up to the robots and pro's on the line not some 18 year old detailer. Just my opinion.

Thanks alot, LOL. I never noticed that before. Unlike the front where the front edge wraps, it does not wrap around the edge near the windshield. I'd show you the trunk lid stripes but, somehow they did not get installed and I'm still working on getting them installed.

Thanks for the help and pics, that's exactly how they look on the one i looked at. I don't know why they didn't wrap them at the Top of hood like at bottom. Oh well I just wanted to make sure the one i looked at was done the same as everyone elses.

Here's a YouTube video from Chevy Dude in Kentucky that explains the HW's edition.

Went to the dealer yesterday and they had a Hot Wheels V6 on sale for $41K. Really like it specially the wheels. The 2 tone red/black interior is awesome. Would have been a nice car for my wife if we hadn't just bought her an Accord.

HW Replica

Wow - never even knew they built a HW Camaro! I keep thinking my car reminds me of a life sized HW every time I walk up to it and so starting modding it with that theme....license plate on order. Now I’d REALLY love to get those seats and badges!

Yes, i have officially become part of this exclusive club. I picked up my new 2018 2SS hot wheels limited edition last week. I traded in my 2016 2LT RS V6 hyper blue.
This is my first V8. I will tell you this car is a beast! The orange crush color is simply awesome! The exhaust is simply amazing! The difference between the V6 and the V8 is night and day...The V8 is a whole different ball game in terms of power train. WOW!

Nice, you will love it. I bought 2 because my wife fell in love with the RS V6 convertible and I got the 2SS. We have had them about 60 days and enjoy the cars.

Love your License plate! Check out Matt at Wildhammer Motorsports, he has been doing a great job of getting Hot Wheels parts for the SE Fifty members, as the orange is very similar and match (and I would know as have both the FIFTY SE & the Hot Wheels 50th, as well a 13 Hot Wheels...am obviously a big bow tie and Hot Wheels fan).
