5th Gen Wind Deflector in a 6th Gen?

Long shot, I know, but... does anyone have a 5th gen wind deflector lying around that they're willing to test-fit into their 6th gen? Looking at pictures of both the last gen (part #92219688) and this gen (part #23432014) they look -exactly- the same, but last gen's can be found for significantly cheaper than the 6th gen.

It doesn't fit it is too wide. Just sold my 5th gen windscreen and bought a 6th gen windscreen. Paid $394 from shopchevyparts.com. I paid $322 from them back in 2014 for my 5th gen screen.

Hello,

I highly recommend getting the wind deflector to anyone with a vert. The difference in comfort is remarkable.

Kindest,

Donner

Agreed!

Donner I agree with you. I was skeptical about spending $400 for a windscreen. However, it is functional, and I can tell the difference, the interior is quieter and less turbulent on the interstate. I also ordered mine from shopchevyparts.com, it was $420.25 with the $26.50 in delivery charges.

Thank you. My boss approved of it immediately. Videos like this inspired the purchase.

Anyone notice the windows going down just as he reaches for the deflector and they come up as he raises the windscreen?

Does not fit period.

Mine came with one but the dealer put a 5th gen in the trunk. Tried as I might did not line up.

Brought it to the dealer and they tried then wanted my approval to force it in.

Needless to say I said no. They ordered me a 6th gen version.

Yes, it does make it appear that maybe the windows alone are blocking the wind, but that is not the case. I have the GM deflector and neither it alone or just the windows being up work as well at highway speeds as the combination of BOTH in place. My wife's hair stays out of her face without a hair tie, and we can have conversation without yelling.

As others have noted it does not fit. I had a 5th gen but had to get the 6th gen. I don't know if you have a dog but a "dog hammock" makes a big difference in the air flow, almost as good as the windscreen (about 60% with a cost of $30). You can't put a dog in the backseat with the windscreen.
