Brake Lines PSA

EDIT: IF YOU HAVE AN 1SS/2SS 1LE Please purchase, Goodridge 12440

All brake line kits that claim they fit the SS/ZL1 calipers will not fit our front (SS1LE) calipers.

The Banjo Bolt on our front calipers is on the bottom and not on the center like SS/ZL1 calipers.

Just a heads up. We also share front calipers with ATS-V and C7 Z06

Corvette uses a completely different line. The ATS-V line appears to be the same.

The rear lines are all the same between SS/SS 1LE/ZL1/ ZL1 1LE

Edit: Goodridge 12299 Kit: Front lines will not fit the SS1LE. Rears will Fit all 6Gen V8 models.

Good to know, I was thinking of doing SS brake lines.

DO you have a ZL1 1LE, or did you get the DSSV's for your SS? I'd be interested in hearing the story on that!

The brake lines not fitting is to be expected, the ZL1 and the ZL1-1LE have a different caliper than the SS 1LE uses.

The rear flex line is the same between SS 1LE and ZL1 / ZL1 1LE.

Nah just a picture I found. SS 1LE pic I've posted is mine.

Sure but line manufacturers list compatibility from SS to ZL1, that doesn't mean it wouldn't fit. So this is clarification, if our calipers had the Banjo in the conventional location it would have fit.

C7 Z06 had the same issue when it first came out until they made a line specific for the iron rotor Z06.

Nice, thanks!

I wonder if Wildhammer is packaging this themselves by combining other Goodridge kits, like an ATS-V fronts with the SS rears?

Good to know. Front brake lines are the same for us SS 1LE guys with the current gen Z06 and ATS-V guys.. as known when ordering brake pads as well.

Rear brake lines and pads are the same with any GEN 6 SS..

Is that a true statement??? So I know from this post and several other posts.

Why change ? Stock lines are steel reinforced.

Create whole new series of problems - abrasion of near by items, Often missing OE type mount brackets.

The goodridge lines are far superior to the OEM lines and have provisions for all OEM mounting, including the mounts for the ABS wiring. I helped a friend install a set on his 17 SS 1LE and the fitment is perfect and the pedal feel is far superior to the original lines. They also state that the new lines are DOT approved and have a lifetime warranty. I would not hesitate to install a set again.
