Another +1 for the matching 3rd brake light. I certainly won't tint so I would buy as soon as it hits the market.

It gives a more uniformed look (as previously said), Instead of masking over red to get a pitch black glossy and pull me over look.

Something like this would be great

It blends in so well with the tail lights and still lets 99% of the light to shine through.

Appreciate the input guys, we will certainly look into it! For the same reason most aftermarket lights use simple clear lenses, it will be pretty costly to tool something that matches the optical design and appearance of the tail lights, with the integrated diffusion, etc. We don't want to just make a clear dark tinted lens on top, as that would just look like tint film. We'll keep you all updated on any progress, but right now I cant' say for sure whether it's something we could make. Thanks!

People like myself were willing to spend $300 (some $400) for a set of side markers from Oracle, I think if you can keep it in the $150-$200ish (+/- a bit) range you'd still have plenty of people willing front the cash for a 3rd brake light to match their tail lights.

And your only competition are the companies that sell a 3rd brake light film.

I need a set of the smoked ones asap! And I'd buy a third brake light too if you made them!

Any time you need a test car, I'm only a few miles away! Mike H knows me, told him before I would be a test car.

Would LOVE a 3rd brake light option; that's pretty much the reason I'm holding off on tail lights.

Yea a third brake light to match the tails would be sweet and then, my car would be perfect from the rear.

Update! From the CAD model in the first post, to reality! Our optical-grade lens tooling is complete. We'll be assembling the first prototype sets over the next few weeks to conduct SAE testing of corrosion, moisture, vibration, etc. Then, they'll head to full production in mid-February, on schedule for our release.

Gotta love that perfect mirror finish, and OEM reflectivity! These are the front- they'll be available in clear and smoked as well, and of course red for the rear.
