I thought my tires were heat cycled out, but then they performed well at Lake Elsinore last weekend. First-ever SCCA event there on a brand new parking lot next to the Storm ballpark.

haha yea puretrack was suppose to be there last month but they had issues dont think sean was too happy with it but the parking lot is nice? what tires you on now?

Yoko A052, a good choice if you are running 18s and don't mind expensive tires! I got a good deal on them in 265/40/18, fine for my car. There are 275/40, 295/30, 295/35 & 315/30 in 18". But my next tire will probably be the Hankook RS4 for the sake of longevity.

oh yea im still on my michelin p4s damn 20s lol i used to run the rs3 or starspec on my old car which had 18s" 235/40/18 squared setup

For sure, a lot of people are out there just for a good time and don't give a hoot about how their lap time compares to anybody else's. Even for the blowhards like me who care about lap times, it hardly matters. 1st place doesn't even get you a free cup of coffee.
Pure Track is an easier environment to try autocross without worrying about competition, work assignments, remote locations, and course walks, which are often part of autocross.

yup its just a good place to have fun and get used to driving your car and not have to worry about sliding off track into a wall unless your a mini cooper lol
