Ask the body shop guy giving the estimate what he would do.
A lot of us here are speculating off one photo.

Get it repaired properly and go after the person’s insurance for diminished value (as someone else has already suggested)

My 2012 Mustang GT when the guy rear ended me the cost for his insurance was just under a grand. He had State Farm and I asked for diminished value and got run around wanted all this stuff and documentation. THe claims agent assigned to it was arrogant as well.

I guess I could have hired a lawyer to go after it but with the small amount the repair cost was since it was the back bumper it wouldn't have been worth the money for the lawyer.

I know if my 2SS got hit next time and the damage is $$ I WILL get a lawyer.

I hired a guy to do all the legaleze for me. He did the report, paperwork, everything except mail it in and make the phone calls. I paid him 250, he got me 3800. Couldn't have been easier.
