What the Labor Time to replace a Power Steering pressure hose?

I just got my car back from the Chevy Dealer and they charged me for 2 1/2 hours labor to replace the Power Steering Pressure hose that busted Sunday afternoon. $84 for the hose, I knew that, but I was figuring 1 1/2 hours tops, since it's only two pressure connections and two mounting screws. They tried to get me to agree to a P/S system "Flush" for $149, I asked them what's to Flush the system is empty. They also checked the alignment as soon as I pulled into the service area, and of course I needed a Four Wheel Alignment.... I told them great Up Sell, but I'll take back to where I bought my new tires, 3 months ago, since they did it, and I bought the 3 year plan... What do you think? Can any mechanics chime in with "Book Time" on this hose? Thanks

Well I show 1.0 plus what ever diag they charge. But they can charge whatever they can get. No labor time is set in stone except warranty time.

I see that as being kinda steep as well, but they can come up with whatever they like for diagnosis, etc, as stated by thiggin2

I had part #'s 22790847 (hose), 92249335 (pipe) and 89021182 (fluid) replaced. Then there is a line for "replaced power steering lines, 2.0 hours".

Total bill $343

Keep in mind it's not always easy to bleed the power steering system so that it's not noisy, especially if it was bone dry. The dealer may have charged an extra half hour just to bleed it.

It took Jud Kuhn dealership in myrtle beach roughly 2/2.5 hours to replace my whole powersteering pump. Maybe replacing the whole unit is easier than dealing with just the hose, but taking that long seems a bit of a stretch, OP.
