Play in shifter? Tr6060

hey guys,

I just got my 1le back from having the trans rebuilt. There seems to be a little play in the shifter left to right. For example if the car is in neutral you can jiggle the shift knob easily left to right maybe a 1/4 to 1/2 an inch before you start to feel the spring like resistance of the shift gate. There is no forward and back play.

Can someone see if their 1/le is like this or should I be concerned?

very little, maybe 1/4 at most.
