I think the mindset was that of a grudge race (don't over talk about your strategy to others). Ron and V wanted the win - just look at how hard he fought and pushed back on the autocross rules to make his point. I doubt we'll learn if they turned down the wick to make sure the car hooked and won. They didn't need a hero run to win. They didn't want to break the car before the end of the overall contest.

I believe the tune for the dyno run was probably pushing the edge. I doubt they would put a customer's car on the street on that tune - they'd dial it back to be safer.

I say all of this as its what makes sense to me about the track times versus the dyno numbers. I'm speculating of course - just like everyone else - since none of us were there to know for sure.

I still don't see the LT4 fuel system supporting 950whp on C9 without meth. I believe Jenetty said LT4 stuff was good for 800-850whp on ms109 with a bigger lobe.

So besides this. What is the most anyone has seen out of the Lt4 fuel system with cam lobe on Racing Gas?

I saw someone mention 5000’ If this was at 5000’ It likely made 750 actual hp and only needed enough fuel for 750hp. Correction factors get way off for boosted cars up high.

I think I can make a little more, probably 875 with another smaller pulley but I don't see anymore then that. I'm dropping into the high 40s to around 50 on the low side and I have 38% fuel lobe and that's on about 15 lbs of boost. I'm going to try to make about 18 lbs and if I have to we can turn up the meth/water and I'll hook up the other nozzle if I have to for the LS Fest. We have the Meth/water turned way down so we can add some more fuel to it with just a turn of the dial .

What’s happening to your rail pressure when your low side drops into the 40’s? That would make me nervous as hell...

Are you running an aux fuel system or a voltage booster?

Word. Max hp speculation based on on fuel supply should be uncorrected....

2900 PSI at the fuel rail and yes I have a boost a pump but not sure its works as well as JRE's.

parish8 and yourself are on the right track as far as I'm concerned. That car did not actually make 950 rwhp, that's just a dyno number inflated to some degree from the altitude (correction factor). I found a picture of the dyno plots in this test and it says 'STD' which further inflates the numbers. The correction factors were hidden and also the atmospheric conditions were hidden on the plot that I found. Seems that dyno shop is in Las Vegas NV, so it's probably over 2000' actual altitude. Obviously DA at the time of the run would be nice to know.

Challenger is just way too heavy. A really nice street car BTW...I had a supercharged Challenger.
