DA affect on a blown car ?

How does DA affect a blown car compared to a N/A car?
I would think not as much, they say every 1000ft is worth a tenth with a N/A car in the 1/4 mile , so how much with a blown car?

Every time I've used Dragtimes DA calculator, it's pretty much the same results.
my 12.44 at 3280 calculates to 11.94. I lose exactly 1/2 second.
if supercharged that 12.44 would've ran a 12.24..so only losing 2 tenths.

12.83 / 111 at 5767' calculates to
11.90 / 119 NA
12.43 / 114 SC

I'm losing more than a 1/10 for every 1000'. more like .17

I would say a turbo car that you can adjust the waste gate to equalize boost levels wouldn't make much of a difference since you are regulating your incoming air. But a blower car will suffer boost loss as the DA increases. I will go out on a limb with my limited knowledge and say the DA effects a blower car and a N/A car the same.

Another consideration is IAT temps. If you are on meth and have a way to monitor and adjust the IAT sensor accordingly then there will be no effect to IAT/timing loss. But if the tables are set to pull timing with IAT temps you are getting double slammed. I saw IAT temps as high as 200* the other day.

My car slowed down over 3/10s and over 4 mph from a 68 degree day with DA at 500 and 90 degree day with DA at 3200. My 10.03@138 to 10.30's@134. Mike did retune my car and it actually made 13 more hp then in the spring and the shop temp was 88 degrees and I'm guessing the DA would have been over 2500. I do expect to pick up some et and probably get back to really low 10's again. It took Mike a few hours to get it retuned in these current conditions which is probably what we will see at the Camaro Fest. I did add an extra 1000cc nozzle and spraying more Meth/water to help with the hot ambient temps outside right now. I'll see how it works this weekend at st louis where its going to be 97 degrees. Ouch. I will get my Ice Box added by the Fest to make sure we keep the intake temps as low as possible.

Can't wait to see that one Laynlo! Gonna be sick.

Once my parts arrive, I think we will get things installed over a weekend or two. Once Ted and I are done tuning, I will be coming out to pay you a visit so we can return to the original dyno and compare results. Then it will be time for a track visit.
