Performance Exhaust
Since my search doesn't seem to work I'm asking it here. So is the upgraded exhaust worth the $995? Don't want it to be obnoxiously loud, just have a nice growl. Any help appreciated.

considering what aftermarket exhausts cost? Absolutely. And no it's not obnoxious, definitely loud enough once it opens up, respectable when your foot isn't in it

IMO, the dual mode exhaust in a no brainer (for those who arent considering an aftermarket). It is fantastic.

One of my "must have" options when I was searching for my Camaro.

Agreed! NPP sounds great and much better than any other cat-back and both sound better than LTs especially so.

Definitely worth it. The dual mode NPP exhaust option is awesome.

OP, the dual mode exhaust affords you the best of both worlds: it can be loud or quiet, controllable via linked drive modes or even explicitly (always tour or always sport etc., regardless of the selected drive mode). Its "loud" mode is a minimally muffled straight pipe, whereas the "quiet" mode forces exhaust gases through the entire muffler.
The quad pipe setup it comes with looks much better than just two, which also matters to some. Finally, you can still replace it with an aftermarket exhaust after a few months or years if you want and retain the integrated dual mode capability. Hope AWE pays some attention to this thread, I bet nearly every comment will represent one or more potential sales lost because they "don't do valves", even though they have it in-house and offer it on other cars.

Mine's custom and obnoxiously loud. Deaf people will complain and go double deaf kind of thing. But if I wanted what you want, yes, the $995 for npp is definitely worth it. 995 is a bargain for what it does honestly (as stated by arpad), in my opinion.

Yeah NPP is a must have in the LT1 or SS models. Just always wondered why it does not show an increase in HP like it does on the Corvette? NPP on a C7 Corvette with the same LT1 engine as in the Camaro shows 5 more HP.
