How does the volume/sound on the OEM LT1 NPP compare to that of the OEM Corvette C7?
Just out of curiosity. My buddy has a 2017 Corvette with the factory NPP exhaust and it sounds AMAZING.
I was wondering if the NPP on the LT1 Camaro sounds comparable in terms of volume and tone. In the Corvette, the sound is deep and muscular and fills the cabin under throttle. Has anyone experienced both? How do they compare? I test drove an LT1 last weekend with the base exhaust……good grief it was basically silent. |

NPP on the LT1 motors sounds great and has good volume with the valves open. Silent is of course, just that, near "silent".
I haven't heard a Camaro without NPP, but my hope is that the standard Camaro exhaust is slightly louder than the NPP exhaust with the valves closed. 6th Gen Camaros with the valves open is louder than a C7 in my opinion. A cold-start in the garage makes my kids jump if the valves are open. BK |

I've had both and I think the 16 C7 is a higher pitch then my 16 Camaro. Both sound great and not really sure why anyone would change them for aftermarket but many do.

I should have clarified that I had long tubes on the Vette that changed that tone and stock it was a little deeper then after the headers. My bad.

I am glad I got the NPP exhaust. It's loud enough for me, and the cracks and pops sound badass when you're driving through town. Bonus you can turn it down for longer trips, but I doubt I ever will, mine stays in Sport mode. The cold start in the morning is ridiculous, makes my day.
