Gonna have to find out what the charge is around here. Looks like there is a drain plug in the bottom of mine lol. I asked one time about the rear diff and was told like $300. I was so astonished I was like are you serious? you know it has a drain plug why is it $300. His only reply is thats what the book says lol.

That’s not a drain plug. It is there to check the transmission fluid level.

If you have a set of jackstands it's not a bad job yourself. The annoying part is the fill process since these cars don't have a trans dipstick. I went and installed the jannity dipstick at the time I did my fluid change.

Yes there's a drain plug (it's actually the plug to check the level), but a good amount stays in the pan when you drop it.

Instead of dropping the diff cover, I use an evacuator (pump handle on top to create the vacuum) to suck out the fluid from the fill hole. It will also suck out p/s fluid, oil, trans oil, coolant. T

Mine cost about $50. Its a great alternative to dropping a diff cover, cleaning the surface, hoping you dont strip or break a bolt.....

It takes me about 10 mins to do a diff fluid change. The cost usually comes from the price of the diff oil and im still making out good. Makes for a nice and clean job.
