ECS supercharger, is this normal?
Here's a video i made a few weeks back of my supercharger making a rattling noise. The oil is full, and i cant see it vibrating against anything. It hasnt always made this noise. I have had it on for 11 months, its been making the sound for about 6. The supercharger seems like it still performs just fine, and I havent heard any others doing it.

Take the air filter off and make sure the restrictor plate is still intact and impeller is ok if u havent already.

Ill go check that in just a bit. would that cause any boost issues as far as spiking over where it should be or not building it? cause it seems like it still functions normal.

The restrictor is two parts...a rolled ring (with a split) and a flat "washer". They are tack welded together and if mine is any indication...they are poor quality welds! I could easily believe yours has come apart.

Mine did come apart and tore up the impeller.

took it apart and the ring was ok, but i didnt look at the washer. the impeller looks to be ok. one of the guys at my body shop looked at the tensioner pulley and noticed it didnt seem right, almost like a bearing was missing. said it sounds like metal to metal rattle from that pulley, almost may be causing wear on the other pulleys. Im not sure what to look for so ill post the pics he took.

The surface of my pulleys looks just like that (and I don't have that noise). It could be something internal to a pulley or idler.

I figured the pulleys were ok on the surface, i just wanted to double check with others. I do question if its that tensioner pulley though making the sound.
