Chevrolet Enthusiast Program?
I left my Camaro in a friends driveway Friday night and came back later that evening to find all of my coolant had leaked from what seemed like the passenger front auxiliary radiator. There were no issues/warning lights on my drive over so it must have happened near my destination. I figured a blown/loose hose came off or something. I jacked up the car but couldnt identify the source in the dark, and definitely didnt feel like taking it apart so sent it to the dealer with Chevrolet Roadside the next morning (which took 2 hours to get there but its free so whatever).
Got a call from the dealer today that they found the source of the leak, and its an impact on the radiator. They said its not normally covered (fair enough), but they are going to take care of it under some "Chevrolet Enthusiast Program". I tried googling it but couldnt find anything about it. I am of course appreciative but wanted to learn more. Has anyone else ever heard of this?

Great they took initiative and took care of your car. Some dealerships are not like that at all. However i have noted good dealership step up their game b/c they know take care of the customers said customer will always come back. So its a win, win for everyone. I looked around as you did and found nothing. My wife on the hand made a god point. Perhaps the name they used, "Chevrolet Enthusiast Program" might not be the correct name perhaps its something similar. Who knows if you learn more pass the word thanks!
I did find this informative and fun to check out. https://www.gmheritagecenter.com/index.html |

It's a Customer Goodwill replacement.
Also, I'd like to point out that this is a good dealership service department that is doing you a favor. It helps make a point against the "ALL DEALERS BAD!" crowd. |

http://www.revbase.com/BBBMotor/TSb/...dPdf?id=188769 To quote, "If Service Management elects to pay for the repair or replacement of a component that failed NOT due to manufacturer's defect in workmanship and materials, they are required to clearly document the job card with the reasons for the decision. The job card must also clearly document the term "Customer Enthusiasm" along with the signature of the Service Manager approving the decision...." So I was close with the Enthusiast part. An interesting read. It's good to know that some dealers a) know this exists and b) utilize it

You are very fortunate to have such a customer-friendly service department. You should be sure to show your gratitude for the generosity they've shown you.
I assure you that is certainly not the norm. The 3 dealerships we have in my area would have charged me for the radiator, found a way to charge me for the free road-side assistance tow, damaged my car while joyriding it after the repair and then threatened to void my power-train warranty for adding "aftermarket wrap" to the hood of my SS/1LE. ...and I'm not even joking.

Why wouldn't this be covered by the standard bumper to bumper warranty?

I mentioned that its fair that it isnt covered and that I was appreciative that they were taking care of me, no complaints whatsoever. Just trying to share an experience and wonder if anybody else had seen similar.
