I have a 17 1SS with dual exhaust and to make it easier, put the rear on ramps then you can pull slightly down on the diffuser, you should see the screw that holds it in place, its kind of above the exhaust tip, I did it after I swapped out my exhaust, get a flash light and a Phillip's head screw driver, the longer the better (That's what she said) and that's all you need to do, as far as taking the rear bumper off, it's not hard at all, I did it myself but when you put it back on, get some help because its rather awkward when your trying to line things up.

Good luck! That is not an easy job. I decided to put mine on when I swapped to an aftermarket diffuser.

I just did this on mine I have a 2019 2SS and I had to remove 5x 7mm and 4x torx15 bolts on both sides two 7mm bolts under the middle and then the whole bumper just pops off removing the lights was not needed since the harness is under the lights between the bumper cover it took me roughly two and a half hours by myself and I did a slight modification putting this reflector back I actually drilled a hole in the middle for the power wire and then the wiring was different it was black to black yellow to gray red to white which is different on the paperwork from wild hammer and I think CC NorCal had a different one too

Confession time---I simply couldn't get to the screw with any of my tools due to the extremely limited space between the rear impact bar, the exhaust and the bumper.
I ended up asking the service manager at the dealership if they could help me out when I took the car in for the tranny fluid flush, and they installed my aftermarket Hero dark reflectors for free. That's what I call service resulting in customer retention.
