Clutch recommendations?

Just wondering whats out there something that holds a lot of HP and can daily drive in a butt load of stop n go traffic with out a numb leg.. the stock clutch hasn't been any issue with a tired leg but the stock clutch is slipping on dyno according to the shop and graph!

I just installed an RPS carbon twin. Pedal is lighter than stock. Fastest shifting clutch I've ever driven. Very slight amount of chatter from a stop. Almost 40 lbs lighter than stock.

Wow.. can you tell a difference in reving? Are take offs the same or does it require more throttle to start rolling?

Hi EDFHOBBIES,

We highly recommend Centerforce Clutches. The Centerforce Dyad Twin Disc is capable of holding 1300 ft/lbs of torque. It is an excellent clutch with great street manners.

You can find them on our website here:

https://store.jdpmotorsports.com/col...l-kit-04614877

Please let know and we would be happy to get you set up with one.

Kind regards,

Also is the install easier than like a mantic with air gap and spacing measures

It revs way quicker. Take off's took some getting used to, but I've had cars with light clutches before. They also make a steel flywheel version that's 35 lbs vs. 25 for the aluminum. This is for the twin disc versions. They also make triple and quad discs for more holding capacity.

Sounds cool. Was your reason for changing the stock clutch a torque issue after modifying for higher power levels?
As far as I am aware, the stock clutch can hold north of 650 lb-ft without slipping.

The downside to a carbon clutch is it's ability to handle heat. In a racing situation it's not much of an issue, but in stop-and-go traffic it becomes a problem.

We've seen factory clutches stand up behind big power. It all depends on how the vehicle is used and how hard it's driven.

Also bear in mind, if you go with a lighter flywheel you may need to revise the tune some as the Driver Demand tables may need some work.
