I'm still holding out hope but my "faith" isn't what it used to be.

These are the specs for the Toyota version. The Subaru version is supposed to have near 300hp and the rumor mill is spinning about AWD since subaru only makes awd vehicles.

I though it was already announced that the BR-Z would only be RWD?

That's true, I wasn't clear. Again this is from the rumor mill, but the next gen sti is due in the next two model years with an entirely new drivetrain and many on the sti forums believe this car will receive the sti treatment. The basic BRZ will most definitely be rwd.

Peak torque at 6600 rpm!! It`ll be a revver for sure ... gotta give them credit for keeping the weight down that low ... expect to see a move to lightness with every manufacturer (about time).

So it'll be good for low 15 second times? That's... underwhelming. I hope that thing has some fantastic handling go for it; I'm more interested in price.

It won't be an impressive 1/4 mile car in any scenario. The key is going to be the handling dynamics of the car where it has a LOT going for it. Incredibly low center of gravity, great weight distribution, low weight. . . it should handle very, very well.

That's disappointing considering the heavier 220hp AWD WRX's post low 14's. Typical letdown. :(

Exactly. if all you see is 1/4 mile times, this is going to be a letdown, but then you just don't understand the point of this car anyway.
