I do not recommend muffler delete, you want borla mufflers like the GM performance mufflers. Rumble without the drone.

Everyone has an opinion on exhaust, so here is mine on Maganaflow. I was looking at them a few years ago (benchmarking as part of my job actually) and purchased a couple different systems. One thing they had in common was that all of the mufflers they used were straight through, which is good, but the rest of the muffler was all packing. The problem with that kind of design, with no resonating volume, is that they sound awesome at idle and when you nail it, but at cruise, there is no "air volume" in them to cancel any drone. So they sounded good, but also droned like crazy.

Most of the stuff you get from the big names actually has specifically designed chambers in them that will cancel out the drone - the OEM's do this to the extreme with multiple large resonating volumes. Corsa and Borla mostly do it on a smaller scale and still maintain the straight through flow. And other brands do it too - sometimes externally ("j"-pipes) but mostly internally. That is why just going to an exhaust shop might sound good at idle and when you rev it up, but will suck for driveability.

My experience with one Magnaflow system is they're horrible with drone.

Get Borla.

Would like to hear which other companies you tested.

i don't agree with this. i bought all of the parts and found someone to put it together. the first guy said it was impossible due to the required space of the muffler & tip combo. the second guy put it together no problem.

whats odd is that i had the exact same mufflers (dumped) on a 4th gen camaro and they did not drone at all. i put them on this car, out the bumper, and totally different outcome. oh well.

the good news is i can literally put any muffler i want in there if i get tired of the magnaflows. bad news is i really hate changing stuff when its not terrible and idk if it'll make it worse or not.

also - outside the car, this is the quietest (non npp) no cat exhaust i've ever heard on a 6g. normal driving and cruising around is very docile. if you're 50+' away you can barely hear the car at all.
