IMO, the Gen5 could've went for another 2 or more model years. The update done in 2014 could have lasted more than 2 years. Yes, it was heavy and based off a big sedan from Holden, but the car sold very well and could've continued the sales success for just a little longer until Gen6 came out.

Thoughts?
Go visit camaro6 forum and check out all the threads on the poor sales, marketing, styling, etc, etc, etc then see how you feel then about jipped. There's reasons why I bought what I did instead of a 6th gen and I can assure you that money wasn't the reason.

I bough a 5th gen for 2 reasons. The retro feel they put into it and the fact my kids can fit in the back seat. When they no longer fit I'll be getting a C7 vette.

I like the 6th gen tech and they are a great car but it does not have the same nostalgic feel and just feel a bit off for me although I do randomly dream of trading up to a zl1 1le.

Dodge nailed it with the challenger as far as nostalgia too. They are smart to build on the platform instead of revamping it. They should look at shaving weight though instead of just adding HP every year.

I got a fifth gen partially because I could afford it at the time and it was awesome but if I wasn’t able to at the time then I would have gotten a sixth gen. I do like them!

Completely agree. The 5th gen didn’t get a chance to get long in the tooth and that was good because much longer without some additional changes would have made it boring and people would have been bored with the style.

Don't feel gyped at all. I got all the car I paid for. Don't really care if the design went 4 years or 400 years.

i'm glad they didn't make them for 10 years, the 60's were awesome the chevelle changed a good bit from year to year and i like em all.
camaro gen 2 ran from 70 to 81 gen 3 from 82 to 92 gen 4 93 to 2002 way to long on all those gens. 5 years is a good cycle IMO.

Until the elbow room and genuine reclining seats make a comeback, we will ride comfortably in our 5th Gen.

Nope.

Got the retro look everybody loved (and still loves judging by the amount of comments/looks) plus an accessible backseat.
Ok, so you won't be checking your girlfriend for ticks back there but its a useable back seat unlike the sixth germ.

Ethnic slurs in general are unnecessary and I find them offensive no matter what ethnicity is being targeted.

I believe its only offensive if your a politically correct anal retentive.
Normal people have used it for years because its very descriptive.

No. In fact the people who were once commonly referred to as gypsies find that term as offensive as the N word. They identify as Roma.

It's not about being politically correct; it's about respect and common decency.

yea ok, it’s totally p.c. This is a big part of what’s wrong with the world today.
Never have I ever heard anyone make those comparisons in my life.
