I like the seats, wheel, and performance more than the extras that come on the 2SS. The seats specifically are amazing and if I had a 2SS I'd swap them for the Recaros absolutely. THEY ARE PERFECT!
Now, a 2SS 1LE though....

The Recaro seats are leather just a FYI.

Different strokes for different folks I guess I personally don't like full leather seats but suede with leather sides, also suede shift knobs, steering wheel (and the suede ZL1 kneed pads) are all I can ask for. I can also live without the Bose stereo and am happy that I could use the money elsewhere (track consumables). If it wasn't for the track use and I couldn't live without those additions, I wouldn't bother with 1LE in the first place and would simply get a 2SS

I was over loud sound systems like 10 years ago, this is not my first Camaro so I know where the car is on the road.

Even if the 2SS 1LE was available now I'd choose the 1SS 1LE, cost being a major factor. I don't think the 2SS extras are worth the premium and I'd rather use the savings for performance mods, tires, track days, etc.

If the 2SS was available now I would purchase it. I'm on a time constraint due to 190 day sales tax credit and can't risk them being built and shipped in time.
Besides the lighting, dual A/C, heated & cooled seats, and nicer stereo what else is the 1SS missing? |

Rear cross traffic alert, backup sensors, leather rear seats, and ability to spec Nav. I think that covers it.

The rear seats in the 1SS 1LE as leather actually, part of the matching Recaro package. And the 1SS 1LE Recaro seats are exactly the same seats as the ZL1 other than the cover, so they actually have the seat heaters and coolers in them they just are not hooked up. One of the members is working on a solution for that as well.

I like the 1SS with 1LE. I like to think of it as a bare bones package ready for the track. Start adding blind spot monitoring, Bose, dual climate, etc etc then it loses that special kind of appeal to me. But I certainly see how it would be a big attraction to a lot of folks.

So, if the 1SS 1LE seats are already leather, then do 2SS 1LE buyers get a discount on the substantial portion of the cost difference that is supposed to cover the leather interior?
Honestly, i just wish we could spec a 1SS with Bose and Nav... |

I've yet to hear a Bose system that impressed, and the sound in the 1SS isn't that bad. The 1SS comes with the 2SS leather rear seat to match the Recaros, aside from ambient lighting and a few other things, I don't feel like the 1SS gives up all that much.
I just wish it had homelink or whatever it's called with built in garage door openers. |

The only thing i'm really wanting in the 1SS 1LE that a 2SS 1LE would (i assume) have is the cooled seats - and i'm sure we all know there's some guys working on a mod for that.
will I miss spectrum lighting - no. nav - not really (Android Auto w/ google maps works fine). dual climate zone - nope I have them on other cars and never really use it. Bose Stereo - nope, sound is fine in the 1SS, I'm no audiophile blind spot monitor - I've never had it on any car and with mirrors and attentive driving, not needed. So...I may have opted for it if it was available and at say $2K, but I'm guessing it's going to be more like $5K.

If it made more and better deals available for the 17 1SS 1LE, I'm all for it!
