Here is what I found with your setup from the 1LE fronts to the 10.5" APEX

You can add a spacer up front to gain back your original tire to strut clearance, about a 12mm spacer, that would then push the fronts out an additional 12mm, see below
Thanks that's what I exactly thought so my math was correct. One important to mention is the fact of the smaller overall height. That would also give me some room. I personally wouldn't use a spacer that big since the main purpose of this setup is track use. I think I can get away with about 5mm spacer if not maybe I can try 7-8mm with longer studs.

This member is experimenting with the Z/28 front wheel (ET11):

Not much room for additional negative camber though)

Depending on how much (max) negative camber you run at the track you will need to find what kind of spacer you need to maintain a safe tire to strut gap.
Thanks for the link, I 've seen that post and replied in that thread. It actually doesn't look too bad wit OEM Z28 wheels. Yes it's close fitment but I think it should be fine. I am not sure how much camber that he can get. Hopefully, someone makes a camber plate soon so it wouldn't be an issue.

I should be able to measure everything sometime next week.

Are you comfortable running a spacer (of any size) on track?

Not only are you running spacers, but a lug-centric wheel on a hub-centric car.

I wouldn't be comfortable running anything bigger than 5mm without changing the studs and even with the longer studs no more than 7-8mm maybe. I haven't seen or used any hub centric aftermarket wheels and didn't have any issues so far, I can always get some hub centric rings if it bothers me

Most definitely need longer studs for the thicker spacers. I have used them at the track, as many other have. Buy high quality billet custom (hub/wheel centric), pay attention to the details and torque the wheels.

Hopefully I can get away with a 3-5 mm spacer and don't have to go that route Car is arriving tomorrow, updates will follow

thanks I will most likely have my alignment done next week and will do the test fit afterwards. That way, it would give me (and others) better idea of the actual clearance for track use

Hi Glam,

Just curious if you have an update on the fitment. Really curious whether you can fit the fronts successfully. Based upon previous work from others, it seems like you may need a spacer but I would be very curious to hear your findings.

I am taking my car to my friend's house to put on the lift today so I will let you know. The only thing is my alignment is scheduled to tomorrow morning so the gap will be closer after the track alignment. I can jack the car at home and do another test fit so it might be better to see the difference between the two (before and after alignment). I will post pictures of both here

I already ordered a couple spacers (3mm and 5mm). I am hoping that I can get away with a 3mm spacer if not 5mm. Anything above 5mm I wouldn't feel comfortable using on the track
