What do you guys think of going with a 275/35-20 and a 295/35-20? With these sizes I could run the Michelin Pilot Super Sports which seem to top every rating list.

Here's a summary of the suggestions so far:

Ideal sizes available: (285/35-20, 305/35-20)
---------------------------------------------
GOODYEAR EAGLE F1 SUPERCAR G: 2
PIRELLI P ZERO
BFGOODRICH G-FORCE COMP-2 A/S
HANKOOK VENTUS R-S3 (VERSION 2)

Similar size pairs available: (285/30-20, 305/30-20) and/or (275/35-20, 295/35-20)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MICHELIN PILOT SUPER SPORT
MICHELIN PILOT SPORT CUP 2
NITTO 555 G2
MICKEY THOMPSON ET STREET SS
CONTINENTAL CONTISPORTCONTACT 5P

Won't reasonably fit
---------------------
TOYO PROXES R888
NITTO NT05R
CONTINENTAL EXTREMECONTACT™ DW
BFGOODRICH G-FORCE RIVAL S

Not sure about the available sizes
-------------
BRIDGESTONE POTENZA RE-11

Hankook RS3
Bridgestone RE71R (smaller widths but these are near R-compound, so consider that)
Continental SportContact 6 (if you can find them)
Michelin Pilot Super Sport
Continental ContiSportContact 5P
Bridgestone RE070R
Pirelli PZero PZ4
Pirelli PZero Trofeo
Pirelli PZero Corsa
Dunlop Sport Maxx Race

According to Treaddepot.com, The Michelin Pilot Super Sport is also available in the 285/30-305/30 combo. Double checked on Michelins website, confirmed. If you want to be more serious, the Sport Cup 2's, but I think they're a bit over kill for the majority street driving it sounds like you do. The Continental 5P available through Tirerack is the O.E. tire for the Mercedes SLS. According to the Nitto website, the NT555 G2 is also available in this combo. According to them, they're designed for higher hp, rwd vehicles. The Hankook Ventus RS-3 V2, in the 285/35-305/35 combo, sounds like a pretty solid dry tire, but sucks in the wet. In a 285/30-295/30 combo, theres the Potenza S04 Pole Position, Continental 5P, Michelin Super Sport and Sport Cups 2's. In a 285/35-295/35 combo, theres a new comer, the Pirelli P Zero PZ4 (O.E. on McLaren), as well as the Michelin Pilot Super Sport and Continental 5P. The Nitto NT05 looks like you'd have to do a 275/35-305/30 combo. Seems to me that the common thread here is the Michelin Super Sports or the Continental 5P's, the Nitto NT555 G2 sounds like a good option too.

Not a problem. Actually I was pretty anxious to research this today. Kinda have an obsession with tires for some reason, haha.

I think I am going to go with the Michelin PSS in the 295/35 and 275/35. I was originally worried that the 295 wouldn't be wide enough to look right on the 11" wide wheel, but I found some pics that eased my mind here (post #6):

Youll have to post an update when you get them on if they made an improvement for you or not. Just curious, why the 275 front and not a 285?

I've got my MRR228's that I kept from my '15 1LE and was looking into tires since the tires that worked on the '15 are too big on the '16. The tires I'm probably going to go with are the Nitto NT555 G2 in 285/30/20 and 305/30/20.

I'll certainly post an update. I should have the tires early next week.

I'm going with the 275s in the front because I thought the way the tires fit the wheels would match better (if that makes sense). In other words I didn't want the rear tires to be relatively even with the outside of the wheel and the front tires to bulge a little past the wheel.

The tires in the image below (from the link I posted) are 295/275s mounted on the same width wheels that I have, 11"/10". This setup looks pretty good to me.

Theyre not available here until March 2017 and only in certain sizes to start with.

I got the Michelin PSS in the 295/35 and 275/35 put on today. They were a little slick the first mile or two, but they keep getting better. I only have about 20 miles on them now and they are already WAY better than the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar G2s.

One very important difference I noticed is when the new tires spin, the car still pulls straight. The Goodyear tires I had previously would cause the back end of the car to kick to the side when spinning throwing the car out of control.

Also, I'm very happy with the steering feel of the car. The 285 Goodyear tires in the front seemed to make the steering a little stiff compared to stock. The 275 Michelins feel much nicer. It's hard to believe how much difference there is unless you experience it for yourself.

I'm going to Keystone (Pittsburgh) Raceway Park tomorrow to do a couple 1/4 mile runs. Hopefully I'll be able to keep it pointed in the right direction.
