Little hit on my recent trip to Mexico, I have seen 212, but didn't have the PDR on, as you can see it was still pulling good at 200. Not sure what it would top out at. |

I wish I had used my PDR on my run.

Stock powertrain, wheels and tires? This much pulling power on a stock ZL1 at genuinely 200+ would be difficult to believe, unless your were going downhill

Ah, now that's more like it Awesome car, being able to pull that hard at that speed must have felt amazing. (I'm sure you don't need me to mention the risks of this endeavor on the street.)

1LE with the big wing and the down force at high speed is slower than the regular ZL1. Same M6 and A10 have different ratio The top speed should be reached by a regular ZL1 A10. |

A warning to slow down. And a lecture that it's not worth it to avoid the Redbox late fee.

I've come close enough to 200mph to know this car can do it but the next problem for us is that 99% of highways are ill-suited for such speeds.
I wonder where Chev went to confirm their 200mph numbers? Indy?

You can see in the video the road was clear, and it doesn't take long to be there and back down to speed limit when on the interstate.

Here in Texas my neck of the woods, the elevation is 300 feet above sea level, I would imagine anyone with the ****s could pull 200 for sure, good tires no hog's, or texting people in the way. I have a unrestricted ZX14R which I'm sure with someone about a foot shorter than my 6'4 could pull 203-205 mph, years ago on my 02 hayabusa 1397cc big bore kit , cam, air shifter, Ackropovic ti pipe, stock wheelbase 200 hp ,I went across a bridge, when I went from the hwy to the expansion joint on the bridge at indicated 185-190 (probably 175 actually speed correction 3% off or so)mph the bike lifted about a foot to two off the ground ! Nothing you can do but ride it out ! It's was a great feeling I was 32 then ! I might try 160 in the ZL1 one day but I rather go to a land speed event !
