Muffler delete on a v8 = Ricer? What? That's one of the stupidest things i've heard.

Absolutely correct! Drop unnecessary weight and put in minimal weight with a better sound (in most instances).

For an axleback that is NPP compatible, and especially one that is drone free, you will get price gouged unfortunately, that's inevitable as the Camaro tries to be upmarket for the 6th gen, looking to enter the sports car market and leave the one-trick-pony label behind. Luckily i got mine free But for those on a budget, a basic muffler delete is a great idea that still sounds good... until cats start coming off, then it just sounds like a tractor or swarm of bee's... nasty with no tone.

Ear plugs will work, but on a car like mine with a build comparable to the OP's in that mine only has Kooks' small AB mufflers and not straight pipes, all I have to do is downshift to get above 1800-2200 and Voilā, no drone

You guys revived a 4-year old thread... I like the NPP because you can turn it up or down when you want.

Does a muffler delete sound better with the secondary cats intact or with them removed?

Zombie thread, but ops car looks like either a turbo 4 or a V6. That 4 just does not sound good without a muffler or two.

When I was younger and dumber, in my 2000 Z/28, I went to an SLP Loudmouth 2 exhaust (which, hindsight, sounded like absolute trash). Then, I cammed it, and decided to go with long tubes going to an X-pipe, and...that was it. It dumped right beneath the seats.
Of course I thought it was awesome at the time, but the volume and drone was abysmal. I'll never do that again.
