Michelin Pilot Sport 4S back order

I need new shoes and the fronts are on a national backorder until July 22nd. I was looking forward to these tires after the reviews here. If that wasn’t available and you had to pick another brand with STOCK sizes what would it be? Discount says the P Zero, but I know they wear fast from my last SS. Thanks!

That's a bitch, they're great tires, I would look around or wait it out. The Continental Extreme Contact Sport is a runner up from everything I've read and in your size.

The all season winter tires I run are Bridgestone RE980's and they only come in a 295/30-20 for the front and they fit fine. A quick check on Tire Rack and they have plenty of 4S's in that size in stock.

^^^This, all day. They are a runner up in terms of lap times, but a veeeerrrryyy close runner up. And they're cheaper. No-brainer.

Conti ECS are a great alternative for street and wet track tire. Not to mention about $200 cheaper

I would stay away from the Perelli tires. The sidewalls are weak and they just do not have the stability that Michelin, Good Year and others have.

Do you daily drive the car? Any track time planned? Discounted Wheel Warehouse shows to have front and rear 4S's in stock. They also have the Continentals for $1229 shipped to me in NC. Those 4S's were $1700.

The Goodyears suck in rain and colder weather, but are great summer/hpde tires.

The SC3 is an extremely dangerous with hydroplaning, otherwise, it's a fantastic tire. Anyone needing wet weather (any) has to think twice about the SC3.

Hydroplane is correct. Handles Great but dangerous in rain.

DD no track time. We don’t have a Discounted wheel Warehouse here that I’m aware of. I’ll check out the Conti’s, Thanks!
