Road trip questions...

I made a decision this morning to take a trip to Florida from NY in the next 2 days i will leave. Its a 19 hour ride for me, I have All Seasons Tires DWS06 sitting in my basement but the car will be kept in Florida for use there for the next 3-4 months. Do you think i should keep and wear the summer run flats some more, they have about 4,000 miles on them so far and been gently used. Or should i just throw the DWS06's on there and run them through? I have a day to figure it out before i leave and hope all goes well. Also i couldn't get a novistretch mask before i leave so what would be best to do to try to protect the front from crap hitting it ect.?

Keep the run flats on.. No need to switch...

Might as well leave the summers on. Why waste money and time mounting and balancing a set of tires you won't need down there. Save the Contis for when you come back to NY. I've seen people use the blue painters tape for road trips. Comes off with no residue.

Ive done cross-country trips multiple times (on different cars). I guarantee youll get a couple of paint chips. Weather in the mid atlantic should be above(45 deg during the day) for the next 10 days so your tires should be no problem. Good luck!

Is there any special places on the Camaro that gets constant chips. The ground effects on my Z06 would stone chip the heck out of the rear brake vents just behind the doors.
