Since the wireless charger doesn’t work on the iPhones. I usually have my X sitting on the pad while I drive.

I just got this and have it between the seat/center console (didn't use the tape).

Allows me to plug in usb and drop the phone into it. Works good enough for me and Android Auto.

I'm working on downloading the latest iPhone download now. I've been waiting for Waze to show up on Apple car play for months now. Apple maps has gotten me lost more times than I care to admit.

Something has to pay for all of that "free" healthcare.

I just sit mine to the left of the shifter. It sits underneath the air vent and stays pretty well, unless you really push down the throttle. This worked with my old Pixel XL and now with my iPhone XS Max.

I also have a 7+. I drop my phone into the pocket behind the passenger seat after plugging it into the USB port. As was mentioned earlier, iOS 12 and the latest Waze app shows up on the Carplay screen now.

Does the phone really clamp in place, or does it move or rotate while you’re driving? The ones I’ve seen spin like a propeller, but they may not have been real Pop Socket products.

Mine doesn't move unless I move it. It's the real deal.

I put my phone in the trunk, or throw it in the back seat. I am old, and I dont care to mess with it.

I thought the backseat was a bag and phone holder? What else could it be used for?
