Hey Vtor_ZL1, can you check your window sticker for me? I would really want the passenger side with the same dimming circuit, but it didn't seem to be available for the SS, see my sticker below. Plus, lokitwitch04 said above it wasn't even manufactured for GM... I doubt this would be a ZL1-only feature, but would appreciate if you checked.

The passenger side does not dim. Only inside and drivers side. There is no difference between the ZL1 and the SS as far as that goes. We make the passenger side outside mirror its just not self dimming. I checked after I seen Vtor_ZL1 post.

I bought the glass, part #23487741, and I swear it has no connection for a dimming circuit, even though it has a part number different from the "regular" glass, is more expensive and the site says "W/AUTO DIMMING".

That, Sir, is a major surprise to me. It would have been an ugly move from GM to quietly remove this feature in 2017/2018. Not an immensely huge deal, of course, but we're talking a meager price difference of $25 total, and I do wish I didn't get headlight glare from the right side.

With auto diming you also have the blind spot detection in the mirror. That's the different part number. The regular does not have the Does not have the lasered blind spot detection picture.

It doesn't make sense that they would phase it out after 2016. Ive had this discussion on the facebook forums as well and no one said their passenger side dims. That was the big complaint that started the discussion. You sure your's dim? I thought both of mine dimmed when I bought the car. Make it dim and take a picture. Turn your headlights on, hold a flashlight up to your mirror and take a picture of the mirror darkened.

My 2016 2SS (built May 2016) does NOT have auto dimming on the passenger side.
