1959 Chevy styling
1959 El Camino and Impala was one of the best years for styling imo. The 1958 Impala was a bit blocky, and the 1960 ElC & Impala a little tame at the front, but I guess styling is up to personal taste and everyone has their favorite year.

Cat's eyes rear lights were so cool. Restoring them is said to be a bitch because of the year-specific parts

I think, in some cases, it come from what we grew up with. Perhaps what we saw our parents drive, or the things we used to hot rod in the driveway on a teen Saturday afternoon.
In my case it's about ten years later... 1968. 1969. It was the hay-day or muscle and the body styles were a bit less styling and more meat-on-the-bones. That's not to say I don't appreciate the late 50's also though. Here is my 1968.
