My jaw dropped....The displacement of the 7.3-liter will be familiar to Ford fans, but this one features a cam-in-block pushrod design that creates a more compact package than the last edition that’s still less complex than an overhead cam layout would be.

Of course it will fit in the Mustang. It’s smaller, lighter, more powerful and less complicated than the DOHC. Where have we heard that before.

Yeah because more torque down low will fix one of the mustang's primary driveability complaints ... and make their cars drive more like Camaros. Can't have that, no.

Linked article refers to the 6.2 as "outgoing". I'm fairly certain it's remaining the standard SD powerplant while the 7.3 will join the 6.7 as options/upgrades.

I’m amazaed that Ford still produces an engine that is used in so little application. It is like the Dodge 4.7 V8, a near worthless engine.
