I broke both tabs, one on each time I took the cover off. Over engineered and cheap plastic meet. A body cracked his in half...

I headed your warning and just lightly squeezed the tabs and it slid right back and off.
The cover won't go back on with the lead from the battery tender attached to the terminal. This spring I'll modify it with the band saw or something similar by cutting out a key way along the top. If it doesn't work, I'll just say screw it. |

Great thread! I'm gonna see how many tabs I can break and get in there and hook up a CTEK pigtail if I can manage it. I will then route the cord up to an outlet on the garage ceiling in order to avoid giving any mice a handy ramp up into the car in the form of a cord on the floor that goes up into the car.
